ABOUT US
Kemble Mountain Outfitters is a small family run business located in northern Grey and Bruce Counties; situated in Mid-Western Ontario, approx. 3 hrs north-west of Toronto and 5 hrs north-east of Detroit. This location is very accessible by both air/rental vehicle and vehicle alone. We strive to offer a down home feel for a fraction of the cost of other “big box” outfitters.
This area has long been known to grow large whitetail deer in excess of 150”. Both typical and Non-Typical bucks are found within this core area. We are also located a stone’s throw from where the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) and Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) jointly began the wild turkey re-introduction into Ontario; this has been a huge success. Our area has an abundance of large wild turkeys that rivals anywhere in eastern North America.
Guiding Services
Kemble Mountain Outfitters offers a semi-guided whitetail deer and fully-guided turkey hunts. We take pride in ensuring that the customer is not only successful, but is also satisfied with the entire hunt. We maintain several food plots, mineral licks, ground blinds, and tree-stands to give the best chance at success. We also maintain an annual membership in the Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA), practicing good deer management. We also have memberships in the Ontario Federation of Anglers & Hunters and a local hunting & fishing club.
Non Residents are allowed to hunt whitetail deer during the same Ontario resident season bow/rifle/black powder seasons in this zone. Non Residents are only allowed to purchase “buck only” tags.
Non Residents are allowed to hunt turkey during the same Ontario resident season; however they must attend the Ontario Turkey Hunter’s Seminar that is hosted at numerous locations throughout the province or provide accredited similar licensing to obtain the Ontario Turkey Licence. This area has recently been opened up to guided hunts and bow hunting for non residents and offers endless opportunities.
WHITETAIL DEER
Cost $2,000.00 / person
Whitetail deer hunts are semi guided, where we get you to and from your stand/blind. Your hunt includes 6 days of hunting, packed lunches, and caping of your trophy. The Ontario Deer Tag Price is $193.25 (not provided)
TURKEY
$1,250.00 / person
Turkey hunts are fully guided. We use run and gun along with ground blind tactics, which we find to be the most successful. Sometimes they happen extremely quick, but are truly exciting. Our gobblers are generally in the 20-24 lb weight range but on numerous occasions, 24-26 lb turkeys are taken. Beards are usually 8-12 “ in length and at times you may find longer. Turkey hunts include 2 turkey harvests (on allowable tags), guiding, and lunch.
